Monadnock Labradoodles Guardian Program

How it Works

At Monadnock Labradoodles we ensure that all of our dogs are raised in nuturing homes where they can thrive and live a wonderful life with their own forever family.  We never use kennels as a way of raising any of our dogs.

Becoming a Guardian home for one of our breeding dogs can be a great way to have the highest quality "pick of the litter" dog as your family pet and help to expand our breeding program.

In our Guardian program our puppies/dogs are carefully placed and live with their Guardian families. The Guardian home pays for all regular health maintenance (high-quality food, annual exams, vaccines, grooming).  We pay for all genetic health testing and breeding expenses.

Once health testing is passed and the dog becomes sexually mature, he or she comes back to Monadnock Labradoodles for short periods of time for breeding and whelping.  The maximum amount of litters in a females lifetime is three and after she reaches the age of five will no longer be bred.  Males will be required more often for breeding but for even shorter periods of time.  Once they complete the breeding obligations you are given permission to spay/neuter, providing proof to us, and legal ownership will be transferred to the guardian to be their companion for life.

Guardian Home Requirements

*Must reside within 45 miles of the Hillsborough County area

*Dog must have access to fully fenced yard or be leashed at all times when outdoors

*The primary care giver must have a schedule that will allow for your dog to not be left alone for extended periods of time

*Provide regular exercise and socialization

*No intact male dogs (not neutered) should be residing on the premises to increase a risk of an unwanted mating

*Be willing to train the dog basic obedience and attend training classes

*Feed the dog premium dog food

To help ensure the dog will be well taken care of we charge a $500 initial deposit for the dog/puppy. When the Guardian dog has completed its breeding career for us, we will refund the entire deposit back to our Guardian family as a way of saying “thank you” for participating in our program.

Guardian Experiences

We have recently had the pleasure of becoming members of the Monadnock Labradoodles guardian program. From our first interactions with Danielle, I have been nothing but impressed. Since the first call we had with them they have been helpful, flexible, organized, and shown the utmost care for both the dogs in the program and my family. We worked through the process of becoming guardians, making sure both my family and the dog we chose would be the best fit. Danielle prepared an organized a highly detailed binder with all the history, extensive testing, and back ground research that has gone into their dogs. We have now had Tess the beautiful apricot female labradoodle in our home for about a month! She has become an instant part of our family and she is an unbelievable dog. She interacts incredibly well with our young son and daughter, as well as our other dog moxie a 5 year old black lab.  Danielle at Monadnock has showed continued support with Tess now in our home. My family and I look forward to continuing to work with them, and all the future years and generations of beautiful dogs that will no doubt come from Monadnock Labradoodles!
